These terms apply to all services provided by Lord Locksmith (Brisbane QLD). By requesting our services — by phone, website form, or in person — you agree to these terms.
1. Services
Lord Locksmith provides emergency lockout services for vehicles, residential properties, and commercial properties in the Greater Brisbane area. We operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, subject to availability.
Our services are currently limited to non-destructive entry where possible. If a lock must be drilled or damaged to gain entry, this will be discussed with you before proceeding.
2. Identity Verification — Your Obligation
⚠️ For the safety of all parties, we are legally and ethically required to verify your identity and authority before performing any lockout service. This is a strict requirement — no exceptions.
Before we begin any work, you must provide:
- Government-issued photo ID — driver's licence, passport, or Queensland proof of age card
- Evidence of authority — proof that you have the right to access the property or vehicle (e.g. vehicle registration papers, lease agreement, utility bill at the address)
For vehicle lockouts, the name on the vehicle registration must match the ID provided, or you must be able to demonstrate lawful authority to access the vehicle.
For residential and commercial lockouts, you must be the owner, tenant, or authorised representative of the property.
If satisfactory ID or authority cannot be established, we will not perform the service. In line with the Locksmiths Guild of Australia Code of Practice, we may suggest contacting Queensland Police to assist with identity verification. If this is declined, the service will be refused and a callout fee may still apply.
Lord Locksmith reserves the right to photograph your ID for our records. This information is held securely and in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
3. Pricing & Payment
All pricing is quoted before work begins. Our callout fee covers travel to your location and an initial assessment. Labour charges are in addition to the callout fee and will be quoted on arrival.
- Payment is due immediately upon completion of the service
- We accept cash, card (via Square), and bank transfer
- Prices may vary based on time of day, job complexity, and location
- If we attend and are genuinely unable to gain entry through no fault of your own (e.g. an unusual lock mechanism or situation beyond our current equipment), no callout fee will be charged
- A callout fee applies if we are unable to proceed due to failure to provide satisfactory ID or proof of authority, incorrect location details provided, or other circumstances within your control
- A callout fee applies if you decline the quoted price after our arrival
- GST is included in all quoted prices
4. Destructive Entry
Where non-destructive entry is not possible, we may need to drill or otherwise damage the lock or entry point. We will always:
- Advise you before any destructive entry is attempted
- Obtain your verbal consent before proceeding
- Quote any additional cost for replacement hardware where possible
Lord Locksmith is not liable for the cost of replacing locks, doors, or other hardware that must be damaged or replaced as part of gaining entry, unless damage is caused by our negligence.
5. Limitation of Liability
Lord Locksmith takes care with every job. However, to the extent permitted by Australian Consumer Law (Queensland), our liability is limited to:
- Re-performing the service; or
- Refunding the cost of the service
We are not liable for any indirect, consequential, or special damages arising from our services, including but not limited to loss of income, damage to property beyond the immediate lock or entry point, or delays caused by circumstances outside our control.
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right or remedy under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot be excluded, restricted or modified.
6. Cancellations
If you need to cancel a job, please contact us as soon as possible on 0414 281 764. If we are already en route or have arrived at your location, a partial or full callout fee may apply.
7. Refusal of Service
Lord Locksmith reserves the right to refuse service at our discretion, including but not limited to situations where:
- Satisfactory identity or authority cannot be established
- We reasonably believe the service may facilitate unlawful activity
- The job presents an unreasonable safety risk to our technician
- Abusive or threatening behaviour is directed at our technician
8. Licensing
Lord Locksmith operates in compliance with Queensland's Security Providers Act 1993. Our licence details are available on request.
9. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia. Any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of Queensland courts.
